Netherlands wins first EU sustainable aviation fuel approval under clean industrial deal

Sustainable aviation fuel EU: The European Commission approved two Dutch state aid schemes worth €290 million to fund sustainable aviation fuel production plants, the first approval under the Clean Industrial Deal framework for this fuel type. EU mandates require increasing SAF volumes that current global supply — just 0.53 percent of jet fuel — cannot yet meet.
